My current work deals with the potential effects that climate change has on our lives. Each of my enamel on canvas paintings has a subject that can be affected by changing environmental conditions. These paintings also contain unseen energies that surround the subjects. I want people to think about these unseen forms of energy such as cellular transmissions, radio waves, sounds, smells, magnetic fields and cloud storage. Growing up in Oregon’s fertile Willamette Valley, my artistic perception is deeply rooted in nature. Moving to Portland, Oregon I began showing in regional galleries and museums. Over the next few years while teaching at Pacific Northwest College of Art I had exhibitions in Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I moved to New York in 1994 and begin showing in Cleveland, New York City and the Hamptons. My most recent exhibit was at the Nassau County Museum of Art “ENERGY, the Power of Art” in 2019. I currently live in Greenport, Long Island, NY.
