The “Recycled Androidite” series of works reflect the artist’s strong belief in harvesting discarded materials that otherwise would end up in landfills around the world. The artist’s goal is to make an impression on the viewer, whether aesthetically or by creating joy or a feeling of discomfort, nevertheless always making them think about their own perception of what discarded items are and how it can be used as raw material for creating a work of art. Experimentation is a particularly important component of his art. He relies on it, in every step of the creative process until arriving at something that transcends its original purpose beyond materials and materialism. The artist walks the streets of NYC regularly in the hunt for “new” raw materials to give it a new unexpected life in his studio.
