Phytophthora cinnamomi drawing

Phytophthora cinnamomi drawing

description

This watercolour drawing is inspired by a microscopic image of Phytophthora cinnamomi a disease that causes Eucalyptus dieback. This is part of the Xylotheque Unpacked series. I am building a contemporary xylotheque studying the life and death of trees. Climate change has stressed trees more and has given greater opportunity for diseases to take hold.
