Reclaimed

description

The Pedieos River (also known as Kanlı Dere) is the longest river of Cyrpus, snaking through the divided capital of Nicosia. The Pedieos, flanked on either side by urban life, offers a narrow but continuous thread of nature across nearly 100 kilometres of the island. Sometimes the human element invades the natural, and sometimes the natural elements invades the human. This photo series offers a glimpse of the space where the two meet- where both aspects of our world interact and fight to reclaim a common space.
