Returning to the River
Returning to the River, 2018, 70 West 139th St. Lobby, Mosaic and Clay Impressions, (8'x17'x6"). Research into this site showed that the Lenape had a hunting ground here by the banks of the Harlem River. This building is a low-income luxury building, an anomaly. It has joined Harlem’s fame, shown as a set of film strips. The 4 trees in front of the building were cast in clay with 3D Mosaic leaves protruding.
