Taohaus Chair 1

Taohaus Chair 1

description

This original, handmade seating sculpture was created by carving a dead, spalted Maple double branch. The shape of the branch inspired the sculpture, which was created in a sustainable manner, using only hand tools, including: adzes, axes, chisels, and rasps (NO power tools). The tapered legs are mid-century style, hand-carved from spalted maple. This functional piece is both made from natural materials and embodies the beauty and spirit of the natural world.
